Secondary School Placement

One of the hallmarks of TFS since its founding has been the strong secondary school placement, and achievement, of its graduates. Those graduates are now finding admission to, and success at, competitive colleges and universities across the country.

The goal of strong secondary school placement is continued school success. Working closely with Triangle-area public, independent, and faith-based schools, and occasionally with secondary boarding schools, TFS represents its 8th Grade students thoughtfully, honestly, and well, helping the student find the best high school match for his or her skills, achievement, and interests.

TFS students now attend a range of charter, public, independent, and faith-based schools across the Triangle.

The Franciscan School has a particularly close relationship with Cardinal Gibbons High School, the only diocesan high school in Raleigh, where nearly 65% of the Class of 2007 chose to attend. TFS thus coordinates closely with Cardinal Gibbons on entrance and placement testing and on curricular scope and sequence to assure a smooth transition of its graduates. 

TFS follows the secondary school success of its graduates closely and celebrates their achievements in high school and beyond.
