Welcome From Our Pastor
Greetings of peace, and welcome!
Thank you for your interest in The Franciscan School, an important ministry of The Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi. Although the buildings that house our school were built in the year 2000, the Franciscan values that form its foundation date back more than 800 years.
Our parish school exists to foster in our young people an in-depth understanding of their faith, the ability to speak and write persuasively about that faith, and an academic preparation that will enable them to excel in high school and beyond. I am personally dedicated to the mission of TFS and am honored to be part of a parish that includes a ministry of a vibrant school committed to excellence.
The Franciscan School helps to develop faith and goodness in each young person. We support the important role that parents accept at the Baptism of their child. On that day, you agreed to teach your child to live and love as Jesus. An awesome responsibility, indeed! Perhaps the greatest strength of The Franciscan School is its ability to assist parents in passing on the richness and depth of our faith to our children, integrating our Catholic values and religious beliefs throughout the TFS curriculum.
You may be familiar with the words of the Psalmist, “If the Lord does not build the house, in vain do its builders labor.” At The Franciscan School, we are committed to building a foundation of faith, hope, and love for children, where they may come to know what it means to live for Jesus Christ.
Thank you again for your interest in The Franciscan School.
In the peace of Christ,
Fr. Mark G. Reamer, O.F.M.
