Each year, the eighth grade class enjoys a memorable trip to Camp Hanes, which is designed to be a team-building experience for the students.  During this three-day trip, the eighth graders enjoy participating in activities such as hiking, canoeing, archery, and ziplining.  Other activities, such as team-building and survival, challenge the students to work together in order to improve both their communication and leadership skills.  Throughout the trip, the students are encouraged to challenge themselves with as many of the activities as possible and, more importantly, to work together to complete the activities.  When the students return back to campus, they are ready to be the leaders of the campus and encouraged to put into practice everything that they learned while at Camp Hanes.
