Open Positions at The Franciscan School

We are currently seeking candidates to work in our Bridges After School Program on a part-time basis beginning in August. Candidates must have a strong desire to work with children, be at least 18 years old, and pass a background screening. Bridges staff work within the program hours of Monday through Friday from 2 to 6 pm. If interested, please submit a cover letter and resume to Joey Bradshaw, Head of Bridges.

The Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi, Raleigh, NC, has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Principal in its K-8 parish-based parochial school. Founded in August of 2000, The Franciscan School is a state of the art educational facility with a talented and diverse faculty and a current enrollment of more than 650 students. The Franciscan School maintains high academic standards, a strong spiritual focus, a positive atmosphere, enthusiastic parental involvement, and community service, all in the Franciscan tradition of a strong Catholic educational environment supported by the parish community.

The qualified applicant must be a practicing Catholic possessing a Master’s degree (or higher) in Educational Administration or Curriculum and Instruction, must have or be eligible for an administrator’s license from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, and must have at least one year of administrative experience.  The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills that foster collaboration with parents, students, faculty and parish staff and demonstrate excellent large and small group communication.  The candidate will also be technologically proficient in school administrative software, Microsoft office, the Google suite of tools, and web-based communication tools.  Experience in curriculum implementation, especially in language arts and math, is preferred along with coaching and mentoring of faculty.
