We are currently seeking candidates to work in our Bridges After School Program on a part-time basis beginning in August. Candidates must have a strong desire to work with children, be at least 18 years old, and pass a background screening. Elementary Teacher Position at The Franciscan School
The Franciscan School (K – 8th grade) is part of the Education Ministry of the Catholic Community of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Raleigh, North Carolina. The school, established in 2000, is rooted in the Franciscan tradition and provides a learning environment that embraces the Gospel values of the Roman Catholic faith.
We are currently seeking an outstanding classroom teacher to join our elementary team. The primary role of the classroom teacher is to instruct students in the diocesan curriculum, while challenging them to move beyond their current level of academic success. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to draw the students out to reach their full potential. As an instructor in a school with over 650 students, the ability to tie together the lessons within each grade as part of the grade level team, building upon each other year after year, while using established best practices and methods for instruction, is essential.
Our ideal candidate will work with faculty and administrative team to provide a faith-filled, safe and academically challenging environment that builds upon the charism of the Catholic Church, and our Franciscan traditions. Our goal is to help form our students into fine young men and women prepared for their futures morally, academically, and socially.
Candidates must have NC teaching licensure, or be able to obtain NC teaching licensure, and pass our background screening. Preferred candidates will have teaching experience in elementary education and a record of excellence.
