The fifth grade students of Mrs. Rapp’s Religion classes planned and participated in their respective “mock” masses. This hands on exercise was designed in order that each student become the teacher of his/her part of the Mass they had researched. Our student priests put on their vestments as each item was described. Our Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, Gift Bearers, and Ushers all introduced themselves and described what their roles are. Our readers chose their readings, while the cantors picked songs. The order of intentions was discussed by the students who wrote their own prayers of the faithful. We had deacons read the gospel and deliver homilies! All of the students did a great job!
