Fall Sports Tryouts at the Franciscan School, Boys Cross Country

In the fall of 2019, The Franciscan School kicked off their sports tryouts. The tryouts included girls’ volleyball, boy’s soccer, and boys and girls’ cross country. Additionally, with 13 different teams TFS offers a robust Middle School athletics program. The school is also a member of the Triangle Catholic Schools Athletic Conference (TCSAC) which includes the following schools in the area:

Sacred Heart Cathedral Knights – Raleigh
Immaculata Eagles – Durham
Our Lady of Lourdes Lions – Raleigh
St. Mary Magdalene Monarchs – Apex
St. Michael Angels – Cary
St. Raphael Guardians – Raleigh
St. Thomas More Knights – Chapel Hill

It is through The Franciscan School’s athletics program that we encourage physical education, sport and games.  This encourages a healthful lifestyle, builds an enduring love of physical activity, and teaches the lessons that grow from teamwork and goal setting.

We always strive to appreciate the gifts of others by being welcoming hosts, good sports, and respectful ambassadors to those we compete with on the field and court.  We encourage the overall goal of sportsmanship as we do our utmost to encourage humility in victory and graciousness, and appreciation of the skills of others, in defeat.
